FOUR FUNDAMENTAL OPERATIONS OF WHOLE NUMBERS

Closure Law

For addition  1+ 2 =2+1

For multiplication    2x3=3x2

Commutative Law

For addition 2+3 = 3+2
                       11+7=7 +11

For multiplication 2x3 = 3x2
                                11x7=7x11

Associative Law

For addition
1+(2+3) = (1+2) + 3                        5+(9+11) =(5+ 9) +11

For multiplication
          1x(2x3 )= (1 x2) x 3
          5x(9x11) =(5x9) X11

Distributive Law

2x(4+5) = 2 x 4 + 2x5 (11 +7) x 5
               =11 x5 +7x5

Properties of Zero
When zero is added or subtracted from any number, the result is the number it self
                      4+ 0 = 4,18 + 0 = 18

Properties of One
The product of any whole number and 1 is the whole number itself.
               18 x1 = 18,
                5 x1 = 5

TESTS OF DIVISIBILITY 

Divisibility by 2
Any number, having last digit is either 2, 4, 6, 8 or zero is divisible by 2.
Ex- 10,12,24,44,46,98

DIVISIBILITY BY 3
If the sum of the digits of a number is divisible by 3, the number is also divisible by 3.
Ex- 4 + 2 + 6 = 12 which is divisible by 3.
Hence, 426 is divisible by 3

DIVISIBILITY BY 4
If the last two digits of a number are divisible by 4, the number is divisible by 4. The number having two or more zeros at the end is also divisible by 4.
Ex- 1236,2552

Safety and Security Against Violence and Injuries

What is Violence? Violence is the use of physical and mental force so as to injure, abuse, damage, or destroy.   Emotional Violence: In the first story the teacher uses her power over Usha to inflict verbal or emotional violence on her. Emotional violence is when a person intentionally subjects another person to behaviour that may result in psychological trauma and emotional hurt.
